This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up. Instructions are both charted and written for the cable panel. Do NOT let the cable stitches intimidate you. After the first three rows you will be totally comfortable with them. However, you will need a yarn that is at least 50% wool or it will not have enough elasticity to comfortably do a six stitch cable. We knit the samples in our Signature Aran yarn, but any Aran weight yarn will work.
